Chad Cole A third generation horse trainer, Chad has been the owner-trainer of Signature Stables, LLC for over 15 years. Chad has worked for his father Randy Cole, as well as Kris Knight of Pleasantview, and has apprenticed under Hall of Fame trainers Claude Shiflet and Jimmy Robertson. He and his wife Michelle opened Signature Stables in the fall of 2001. He has trained numerous champion horses and ponies such as WC City Taste, RWC Heartland Flyaway, Oom Pah Pah, RWC Tart’s High Heels, RWC LF Party Guy, Nelmar’s Tango 4 Ever, RWC Photo Prince, WC Glamour Shot, RWC Shaboom, Ms. Greta Garbo and many others. Chad is a nationally recognized USEF large R judge, holding cards in Saddlebreds, Equitation, Roadsters, and Hackney. He has been honored to judge such shows as Blue Ridge, Syracuse International, Bonnie Blue, Carousel, ASHAV, NTASHA, and UPHA Fall Classic Horse Show among many, many others. He has served as advisor to the Bits and Tails Youth Club, Rock Creek Horse Show, and Rock Creek Fall Horse Show. He was also on the boards of the Carolina Futurity, UPHA Young Trainers Colt Preview, and is a past Vice Chairman of UPHA Chapter 9. Chad is the current President of the Kentucky American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association.
Michelle McMahon Cole is a William Woods graduate. She began her career with Jack McGrane and has worked for renowned trainers UPHA Hall of Fame trainers Dave and Sarah Patton, Anne Speck, and Rob and Sarah Byers. She has served as an advisor to Premier Youth Club, Rock Creek Juniors, and is a past board member of KASPHA and current show secretary to the Winter Tournament Association.
Sarah Hoover grew up in the Morgan industry, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Equestrian Science at William Woods College and went on to work for such renowned horse trainers as Jimmy and Helen Robertson, John Conatser, John and Renee Biggins, Bill and Nancy Becker, Bill and Kris Knight as well as the legendary Ruxer Farms where she established and advised the Sultanators Youth Group. With over 25 years instructing, she has taught national academy and show ring champions, serves as an advisor to the Rock Creek Juniors, is an accomplished judge and has served as coordinator for the KYANA Regional Academy Championships.
Mackenzie Huskamp State and national equitation champion, Mackenzie grew up right here at Rock Creek Riding Club. After a very successful juvenile career, Mackenzie earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisville where she continued her riding success and was honored as the Intercollegiate Saddleseat Riders Association National Champion High Point Rider. In addition to instructing riding students, Mackenzie is also a Kindergarten teacher and serves as an advisor to the Rock Creek Juniors.
